Inspections and Surface Treatment Sparring
No paint system is good enough to withstand poor, inadequate or unskilled application. Good paint systems are also often waisted on poorly prepared surfaces or when applied in sub-optimal conditions.
Our job is to give you assurance of the best result possible for your assets.
We have a number of own and associated inspectors with engineering and paint technician backgrounds. At Pivots Engineering we specialise in taking the inspections of a paint project beyond the creation of warranty documentation for the paint producer. Our inspectors are trained to work with the ship yards, construction sites, metal companies, painting companies and certification institutes as sparring partners to ensure that:
- the right painting systems are used
- the right standards are followed both with a view to legislation as well as industry standards
- the best conditions possible are made available for the preparation and painting process
- the objects for painting are fully prepared prior to first coat
- the right and right amount of additives and thinners mixed in prior to painting
- any and all deficiencies are logged, reported and resolved prior to release of the object
We have further recently developed a software that gives our customers web based realtime access to visual images of their assets as well as our inspectors' observations and reported issues to be resolved during the painting process.
This allows you as our customer to be involved and aware with piece in mind and energy to focus on your core business while we in the distance take great care of your newbuilding, dry-docking or industrial construction.
